Managing Orders Efficiently

1) Accepting or Rejecting Orders

Efficiently handle customer orders by accepting or rejecting them based on kitchen capacity and availability.

Steps for Mobile:

  1. Open the Kitchen App: Launch the Home Food Chef app on your mobile device.
  2. Log In: Login with your kitchen credentials.
  3. Access Orders Section: Tap on the Pending section to view new requests.
  4. Review Order Details: Tap on any order to navigate to the order details.
    • Check the food items, preparation time, and special instructions.
  5. Accept or Reject:
    • Tap Confirm to accept and start preparation.
    • Tap Cancel and select a reason for declining.
  6. Order Status Update: Accepted orders will be moved to the Confirmed section for tracking and preparation.

Steps for Web:

  1. Open Website: Visit the official Home Food portal (https://homefoodglobal.com/login/restaurant).
  2. Log In: Log in with your kitchen credentials.
  3. Access Orders Dashboard: Navigate to Orders > Pending tab to view new orders.
  4. Review Order Details: Click on any Order ID you want to update.
    • Examine order items, preparation time, and any special customer requests.
  5. Accept or Reject:
    • Click Confirm Order to start preparation.
    • Click Cancel Order and provide a reason if prompted.
  6. Manage Active Orders: Track accepted orders in the All Orders section for preparation and delivery coordination.

2) Updating Customers on Preparation Times

Keep customers updated on order preparation times and any changes to their delivery status.

Steps for Mobile:

  1. Open the Kitchen App: Launch the Home Food Chef app on your mobile device.
  2. Log In: Enter your kitchen credentials and sign in.
  3. Access Active Orders: Navigate to the Confirmed section.
  4. Select an Order: Tap on the order you want to update.
  5. Update Preparation Time:
    • Select the 'Swipe to Cooking' option.
    • Tap Update Prep Time.
    • Enter the estimated preparation time or select a predefined option (e.g., 15 minutes, 30 minutes).
    • This will notify the customer about the order’s tracking status.
  6. Order Status Update: The new preparation status is now visible on the customer’s screen.

  1. Open Website: Visit the Home Food Spot Kitchen portal (https://homefoodglobal.com/login/restaurant).
  2. Log In: Enter your kitchen credentials and click Sign In.
  3. Access Active Orders: Navigate to the Confirmed tab.
  4. Select Order: Click on the specific order you want to update.
  5. Update Preparation Time:
    • Click Proceed for Cooking.
    • Input the updated preparation time or choose from available options.
    • This will notify the customer about the order’s tracking status.
  6. Status Update: The new preparation status is now visible on the customer’s screen.

3) Handling Special Instructions

View and manage customer-specific instructions to ensure personalised food preparation and delivery.

Steps for Mobile:

  1. Open the Kitchen App: Launch the Home Food Spot Kitchen app on your mobile device.
  2. Log In: Enter your kitchen credentials and sign in.
  3. Access Active Orders: Navigate to the Pending, Confirmed, and Cooking sections to see all current orders.
  4. Select an Order: Tap on the order that includes special instructions.
  5. View Special Instructions:
    • Look for the Special Instructions (Additional Note) field.
    • Review any custom requests provided by the customer (e.g., "No onions," "Extra spicy").
  6. Fulfill Instructions: Ensure the order is prepared according to the customer’s preferences.
  7. Confirm Order Completion: Once ready, tap 'Swipe if Ready to Handover'  to give it to the delivery partner.

  2. Log In: Enter your kitchen credentials and click Sign In.
  3. Access Active Orders: Go to the Pending, Confirmed, Cooking sections to see current requests.

  5. View Special Instructions:
    • Locate the Special Instructions (Order Note) section on the order details page.
    • Review specific customer requests (e.g., "No onions," "Extra spicy").
  6. Prepare Order: Follow the instructions carefully to meet customer requirements.
  7. Confirm Order: Click on Mark Ready for Handover after completing the order preparation.
